Search Engine Optimization Will Always Be The Future
In the space of ten short years, the internet has really become something huge. The idea of search engine optimization back in the late 90′s was something that was completely unheard of, and many of us would have laughed at the idea of a business being built on a single page of code. Even back then, Internet Marketing was still an idea in development, with most people at the time still using the trusty phone book to find what it was that they were after.
These days, just about everyone has some form of internet access, wither it is on their cell phone, their PDA, or their laptop. The key here is that they can access the internet everywhere, accordingly, the Internet has become a necessity rather than a desire. To be completely honest, I haven’t had to use a phone book in years for the fact that I always carry a mobile device on me, and can always search for what I want on Google no matter where I am..
The point to all of this is that in present times, the biggest desires are those that are on demand and accessible. Preferably, if it can sit in your back pocket as well. What people want is to be able to find what it is that they are after in the shortest time frame possible, and this is where Search Engine Optimization comes into play. This is the process of promoting your website in a manner that will increase its standings for a particular keyword in the search engines.
All of this is known as Search Engine Optimization, the very method that is used to rank a website number on in Google. However, the problem is that there are a lot of SEO experts and crafty webmasters out there who are a jack of this trade, hence, competition in just about all niches is quite high. If you are a webmaster, and you don’t know how to rank a page by now, it is best to learn it fast. I wrote The SEO Method review recently in order to help people understand how I (as a webmaster) learned SEO too.
In all essence, there are many methods of SEO that you can use. For example, there is what is referred to as “White Hat SEO”, which is ethical promotion off site, that results in evergreen results in the search engines, and there is the notorious “Black Hat SEO”, which is very risky, and can result in fast rankings, but can also result in removal of websites from the Google index. The key is in finding a method that works for you and your website, learning it back the front, and always keep promoting. That is the only way to win in the search engines.
